Today, content marketing is one of the most effective marketing strategies. Clever content has the power to inspire, stir emotions, and provide answers your target audience is dying to uncover. In this digital age, content marketing has effectively become one of the most powerful tools to reach both B2B and B2C customers.
Every day, millions of companies around the world are harnessing the power of content marketing through blogs, articles, podcasts, and bespoke campaigns. To recognise the creativity within the industry and pay homage to the best content creators, the Content Marketing Association (CMA), bestows the most ingenious content marketing campaigns, strategies, teams, and individuals within the industry, with an annual award. The awards will be presented during the International Content Marketing Awards on Thursday the 24th of November 2022. These renowned international awards are recognised throughout the world of marketing as a hallmark of excellence and creativity.
This year, and for the first time, Smart Media Agency has been shortlisted in not one but two categories. Each campaign will be evaluated by some of the biggest independent content marketing experts in the industry. “We’re absolutely delighted to have been nominated for this award, and it’s great that our team gets the appreciation they deserve. The last years we have been investing in more content marketing solutions for our customers. It’s great to see the appreciation from the industry” says Christian Nikuna Pemba – Ceo Benelux
Smart Media Agency created a 360° campaign to increase the Belgian beer MARTHA’s brand awareness both locally and internationally. Smart Media Agency devised a quest to “find MARTHA”, a mysterious figure hidden in a secret location in Belgium. Going beyond the scope of beer, but adding a human factor. The goal of the campaign was to find the hiding place and reveal the identity. The campaign was launched both online and offline, across social media, TV, in print (Fokus Summer) and through an audio commercial. The campaign was a great success: audience engagement increased by 1430% and a total of 90,000 video views were measured. MARTHA is now widely known throughout Belgium; and the reach has grown tremendously.
Judges will evaluate the campaign based on creativity, strategy, and a range of skills, from planning and insight to distribution and evaluation. Results that will be considered include customer retention and recruitment, sales and market share uplifts, brand uplifts and impact on business outcomes.
In collaboration with Enterprise Europe Network Flanders (EEN) Smart Media Agency launched a podcast offering insights and inspiration to European entrepreneurs in Flanders. The series consists of six episodes, in which three experts talk about entrepreneurship in Europe. The podcast focusses on the most prominent aspects of entrepreneurship and explains how EEN can aid businesses in taking the next step. To drive traffic the podcast is promoted in an accompanying article and through a paid push on Spotify. The campaign is currently still ongoing.
In addition to the content itself, which should be entertaining, engaging and informative, judges will also be considering the added value the podcast brought to the brand’s customer base, the increase in reach, and the appeal to new audiences.
